I know! Three posts in three days is totally unheard of (from me)! But there you go, here’s my third.
I have finished my Jaali.
Some facts:
Pattern is Jaali by Kitman Figueroa.
The yarn is Easyknits.co.uk Twinkle in the Crushed Charcoal colourway.
My only modification to the pattern was to add size 8 clear beads to the first chart, the rest is exactly as written.
My only “reproach” to the pattern would be the yardage requirements. They are very overly generous! At least for the small size (the one I knitted): the pattern calls for 400 yards, but I used only 256 yards (about 2/3 of my 100g skein). I’ve got quite a bit of leftovers, which annoys me a bit, because seeing that the next size up uses only 120 yards more, I’m pretty sure I could have knitted a medium size shawl. As the shawl is knitted from the bottom-up, you can’t make it bigger once you’ve cast on all your stitches.
