Bee blocks and a tutorial

Phew, time has gone past me this last week. Despite having plenty of little things to blog about, I just couldn’t get around to write them down. Maybe I should try to pre-write and schedule my posts a bit more?… Food for thoughts!

But today, it’s Sunday. The rugby is on and in an attempt of not going completely crazy – it’s New Zealand V. Australia, we are a NZ household here! (well, when France is not playing!), I thought I should share my latest bee blocks and even a teeny weeny tutorial to make said blocks. How cool is that?

Here are the blocks. I’m very pleased with them and I was sad to see them go! Most of them used bits of fabrics I had lying around, so this block is definitely ideal to make a dent in your scraps (well, if you make plenty of them)!

These blocks aren’t difficult to make at all, but they require standing at the ironing board for a while. This is definitely the most tedious part of the process, but the rest is really straightforward and fast. I didn’t take any pictures when I made them, but a little time spent at the computer and I’ve put together a little PDF with instructions. Let me know if you have any questions! Here it is: Cross Block Tutorial.

    Lovely!
And I’ve downloaded the tutorial to play with later. I like the idea of sewing all round the squares and cutting them. I would have been cutting and sewing little triangles, so you have saved me some time there!!
