Before my son was born, I made quite a few items for him to wear as a newborn and small baby. I had a lot of fun knitting them, as I had been on a crafty hiatus for quite a while before finding out I was pregnant.
They’ve been photographed on their model and have provided some of my family’s favourite pictures of Lucas as an infant.
Now, they are warming up other babies in Pakistan – just as I was wondering what to do with these now too small little knits, a terrible earthquake happened in Pakistan. My Sister-In-Law was at the time working for the Red Cross in South East Asia. After she visited us in September 2010, she left with a bag full of those little knits to be given to the people that needed them most.

Gorgeous knits, and a lovely thing to do with them once they were grown out of :) Hand knits are so lovingly made that it’s nice to think of them warming the people that need them so much. Thanks for sharing.
They are just lovely! And what a wonderful thing to do with them as he outgrew them. :-)
