Tidy mind, tidy stitches? My mind and my stitches are very tidy. But everything in between? Well? Er… Not so much… I am definitely NOT the tidiest person in the world, or the most organised when it comes to my crafts stashes.
I always have quite a few projects on the go and it tends to mangle and mix. But I know where everything is and I only “lose” things if it’s been touched by one of my 2 boys.
I have a few big plastic boxes where I keep most of my stash. I also have a smaller wicker box/basket where I put my most recent projects or yarn acquisitions that lives next to me on the sofa. I recently received in a swap a wonderful fabric basket that has been put to good use: it now keeps the projects that are actually being worked on.
Isn’t it cute?

My knitting notions live in a small pouch I made myself a couple of months ago and I love it.

I also have a couple of project bags (totes?) I made and that I use when I’m on the go (when I’m not, they are living in the wicker basket).

My needles (I only use circular, interchangeables or not), live in a DellaQ case I got when I subscribed to The Knitter.
Now, ideally, if I had the space and loads of money to spend on it, I would have a studio, it would look like something out of an ikea catalog. Something like this, really:

But with a bookcase / shelf instead of the drawers, or maybe something with a glass door. And I would add more splashes of colours too. Like hot pink and green. Or red and grey.

That first picture has totally inspired me.
I have a half-finished patchwork tote bag. Half-way through I decided I don’t need any more tote bags. But who doesn’t need more fabric boxes for organising things into? I’m going to re-model it!
You can’t go wrong with using your fabric stash to make containers for more crafting.
NIce job on making those project & notion bags for yourself. And oh, that IKEA room looks like it would be an amazing knitting solution. Alas, it’s only something I can dream of…
