Madli, deeply finished!…

… And sent away (or just about!)

Madli #1 - finished!
Little project summary:

  • Pattern: Madli’s Shawl, by Nancy Bush (Ravelry link)
  • Yarn: 1.7 skeins of Malabrigo Lace in Continental Blue
  • Mods: I didn’t do the nupps in the main part of the stole and I used 3.25mm needles. I also changed the garter rows before the grafting part, partly because I purled a row that should have been knitted and partly because I thought the 2 sides would match better (and they do).

I love it!! It looks absolutely amazing. I’m very happy I didn’t do the nupps, it looks perfect as it is. And it looks much more complicated than it actually was: very easy knitting, it would be a good project for an adventurous beginner in the world of lace.

I’ve got another one to make, in pink and I can’t wait to see how it’s going to turn out!

Not really. Well, it took a while, but I took a big break in the middle of it and then, I only worked on it maybe 1 hour every day or so. But it didn’t feel like a huge undertaking. :)
