Here’s tonight recipe, chinese inspired, which is much faster than calling the take-away place and waiting for your food.
In a frying pan (or a wok, if you’ve got one – I don’t), heat up some vegetable oil like sunflower oil. When it’s hot, fry some raw prawns (I get the frozen ones that I thaw completely before cooking), add in a teaspoon of finely chopped ginger, a teaspoon of finely chopped garlic, a teaspoon of finely chopped red chili and a tablespoon of chinese spices mix. Fry for a couple of minutes then add the vegetables (I get the stir-fry veggies from Sainsbury’s – they had mushroom, beansprout, onions, carrots and maybe cabbage? get whatever you like, really!). Fry for about 3-4 min then add some noodles – I like the straight to wok ones. Another couple of minutes. Before serving add a couple of tablespoons of soy sauce, stir well and voila! Dinner is ready
Perfect for a busy life. Yes, you won’t have your favourite spring rolls with that, but hey! When I’m hungry, I want my food now, not in 45 min!
On the craft front, I’ve been pretty un-busy. But I’m working on a secret plan. It’s taking shape and I should be able to tell more about it very soon. Hopefully. All I can tell you is that it’s exciting and a little bit scary!

Ooh just seen this post and I’m very intrigued! You need to tell us more!!
That stir fry sounds like the type we make occasionally, you can’t go wrong with ginger+garlic+chilli+soy sauce!!! x
I’ve told a little bit more about it in my following blog post. :) Things are taking shape and I should be able to tell all next week.
Yeah, ginger+garlic+chilli+soy sauce make everything taste better. Well, almost everything! :P
