Daydreaming…

There is nothing I like more sometimes than some peace and quiet. I have been thinking about that, lately, since our upstairs neighbour has been back. He is not noisy enough to call the noise team per se, but he is loud enough to sprout killing thoughts in my mind, from time to time, especially when the baby is sleeping.

So, there I was, knitting away trying to not think too much about the ruckus above my head, and I started dreaming about having our own house, somewhere pleasant without people living over us. Then, my mind kind of drifted and I started thinking about having my own craft room, how I would like it, etc…

I might never have a craft room of my own, but if I have, I think the following images illustrate what I would love. The furniture comes mostly from the Ikea’s website; paint, floor and wallpaper were found on B&Q’s website.

I would like the wall to be a light green with an accent wall with a flowery wallpaper and the furniture preferably white. Plenty of bookshelves to put all of my books on and maybe some of my yarn in nice baskets or plastic tubs. A nice desk to put my computers on with a comfy chair.

And if room is not an issue, I would love a comfy armchair with a footstool and maybe a little sofa (which could double as a guest bed). Maybe a table with storing underneath (like the islands you find in modern kitchens) too.

It would be my own space where I could hide away from the world and indulge in plenty of crafty delights.

I can’t see that happening any time soon, though. I am not even sure we will ever be able to buy a house (sometimes, it worries me a little). But that’s ok. I’m happy as we are now. We are healthy and we’ve got each other’s support. That’s the most important thing. Craft rooms can wait.
