One of my favourite things on the internet is personal blogs. I love this sneak peek into people’s personal universe. Maybe I’m nosy? Anyway, I find that when people talk about what they love, it is always more interesting than whatever a journalist or author could write on the subject.
So, everyday, I check all my favourite blogs and try to discover new ones. Oh, my favourites are not always on the same subject: it depends on what I am up to at the time. Here is my current one (in no special order):
Knitting:
- The Yarn Harlot: probably the most famous knitter’s blog. I love Stephanie’s humour on all things knitting and more.
- Spilly Jane Knits: I love the patterns and she is quite entertaining to read, too.
- Ysolda: famous Scot knitwear designer, especially for her quirky vintage-inspired designs, her blog is a good view into a designer’s life.
- Petit Filoux: fellow French expat, who loves all things crafty and cooking (just like me!!).
- Eskimimi Knits: lovely looking blog, with plenty of lovely knits happening.
- Mooncalf Makes: blog of the super prolific English knitter, Mooncalf.
- Peaceful knitter: I love the ‘feel good’ feeling of Peaceful Knitter’s blog posts. Very relaxing and inspiring.
- Never Not Knitting: very interesting blog posts and podcast from a never not knitting woman.
Gardening
- Moosey’s Country Garden: My Mother-in-law’s website and blog, very witty and with wonderful pictures from Down Under.
I’ve got a lot of other crafty blogs that I read regularly, but the list is on my other computer, that I haven’t turned on since Lucas was born. They are mainly quilting / sewing related. When I’ll go back to using this computer, I will write another post with those links.
I know that most people got their links in a sidebar, but that often makes for very very loooooong sidebars, which I’m not too fond off. So, I’m not going to do that. Instead, I will create a page with links to all my linky posts! Ah!
